$M Despite headline Q2 beats, several notable negative takeaways and underlying friction points emerge: Non-Operational Earnings Tailwinds: Adjusted EPS was heavily inflated by a $0.23 net tariff refund benefit. Stripping this out, underlying core operational EPS was $0.40, reflecting much tighter core profitability. Macy's Core Stores Lagged: Growth remained heavily skewed toward luxury. Mainstay Macy's brand stores posted modest +1.1% comparable sales (+1.9% at Reimagine 200 locations), lagging far behind luxury banner Bloomingdale's (+11.3%). This underscores softness among middle-income shoppers. Macro Environment Pressure: Management noted sticky inflation, promotional pressure, and cautious discretionary consumer spending, making second-half revenue consistency harder to maintain. Ongoing Structural Threats: Persistent market share erosion toward off-price retailers and digital platforms continues to drag on long-term foot traffic and core growth.

$M Recall that Obama had near zero rates for his entire 2 terms and they only raised rates AFTER Trump had won the election. It was the longest sugar high in US history by a large margin. The FED raised rates on Trump1 multiple times while CPI inflation was UNDER the FED target of 2% including before an election which used to be off limits. The FED refused to hike rates on Biden until mid-2022 and CPI had already passed 8% while repeating the Biden admin's "transitory" term which obviously was not true. The FED cut rates 3X for the Biden admin at the 2024 elections including a jumbo 50 basis points in SEP to juice the economy and markets for the incumbents. Notably, core CPI was 2.4% in that SEP 2024 jumbo cut EXACTLY where it is today. Should the FED raise this week, it confirms the evidence that they are an arm of the Democrat party.

$M I think LGVN could be the next Sandisk of the biotech world. LGVN market cap $20 million - $2 billion annual potential revenues (only US and Europe (untapped)) times a p/s of 8 -> $16 billion market cap, for only HLHS (unmet medical need...Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome...HLHS phase 2 results September 2026) Extremely promising Alzheimer's results phase 2, in talks for partner for phase 3 green light from FDA to start phase 2 Pediatric Dilated Cardiomyopathy (multi-billion revenue potential) Great results phase 2 Aged related frailty In recent presentation, Longeveron compares itself to stem cell companies, Mesoblast and Capricor both recently valued over $2 billion. I think Longeveron has more potential 52 patents 60 patents pending HLHS program may be eligible for PRV (priority review voucher) upon BLA approval (valued between $150-200 million)...if successful then BLA filing to follow shortly thereafter with potential FDA approval 1H of next year
