In overnight trading,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/LRCX">LRCX stock</a> traded up 0.17%, according to Yahoo Finance.Lam Research stock has nearly doubled this year (+97%).<h2 class="st-heading-2">Lam Research’s Q1 Earnings Snapshot</h2>Fremont, California-based Lam Research’s revenue for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026 grew 27.6% year-over-year (YoY), although slowing from the 33.6% pace seen in the previous quarter, while adjusted earnings per share (EPS) jumped nearly 47%. The revenue marked a quarterly record.-Revenue: $5.32 billion Vs. Fiscal.ai-compiled consensus of $5.23 billion-Adjusted EPS: $1.26 Vs. $1.22 consensus-Adjusted gross margin: 35%, up 60 basis points from Q4’25Lam Research’s CEO Tim Archer said the company’s innovations are helping its customers address major artificial intelligence (AI)-driven manufacturing inflections. “We are executing well in an environment of tremendous opportunity, and with our expanding portfolio of products and solutions across critical device segments, we are strongly positioned for continued growth.”Among business segments, systems revenue, accounting for roughly 67% of the total revenue, jumped about 49% and 3% sequentially. Geographically, China accounted for 43% of the total revenue, Taiwan 19%, Korea 15% and Japan 10%.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Lam Research’s Outlook</h2>The company guided second-quarter revenue in the range of $4.9 billion to $5.5 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.05 to $1.25.&nbsp; Analysts, on average, expect the metrics to be at $5.23 billion and $1.03, respectively. It expects adjusted margins to come in at 33% +/- 1%.On the earnings call, CEO Archer said the quarterly revenue guidance incorporated roughly a $200 million revenue impact from the recently announced 50% affiliate rule restricting shipments to certain domestic&nbsp;Chinese customers, according to a transcript provided by Koyfin. The company expects the rule to impact its full-year revenue by about $600 million.&nbsp;Archer expects the China region to represent less than 30% of our overall revenues in calendar year 2026. Worldwide wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) spending has been shaping up to be slightly better than the company’s prior view of $105 billion in the calendar year 2025, predominantly due to better-than-expected high-bandwidth memory (HBM)-related investments, he added.<h2 class="st-heading-2">What Retail’s Feeling About LRCX Stock</h2>Retail sentiment toward LRCX stock improved to ‘extremely bullish’ on Stocktwits by late Wednesday, from the ‘neutral’ mood seen a day ago. Ahead of Apple’s quarterly results, the shares of two of its suppliers received bearish recommendations from analysts.&nbsp;Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh downgraded shares of Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS) and Qorvo, Inc. (Qorvo) from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Underweight,’ the summary of the notes carried by the Fly showed. The analyst also cut the price target for Skyworks stock to $60 from $70, and that for Qorvo to $75 from $87. The new price targets imply downside potential of 20.3% and 18.6%, respectively, for the stocks, from their respective closing prices on Friday.Reacting to the downgrades,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SWKS">Skyworks stock</a> fell 2.60% to $73.36 in overnight trading, according to Yahoo Finance, while <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/QRVO">Qorvo stock</a> slipped 2.15% to $90.15.Irvine, California-based Skyworks and Qorvo are manufacturers of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors. According to transcripts of the latest earnings call of these companies provided by Koyfin, Apple accounted for 63% of Skyworks’ revenue and 41% of Qorvo’s. Qorvo’s primary end markets included automotive, consumer, defense &amp; aerospace, industrial &amp; enterprise, infrastructure and mobile.Mizuho’s Rakesh attributed his downbeat opinion to a tougher macro backdrop and limited stock-moving catalysts for radio-frequency and handsets. The analyst expects 2026 iPhone unit shipments to decline 7% year-over-year (YoY) following a positive performance in 2025. He also expects the new foldable iPhone with high selling prices to delay upgrades, impacting both Skyworks and Qorvo.Mizuho also flagged China headwinds for these companies as subsidies fade into 2026. More clarity on the fundamental outlook for these companies could emerge when Apple&nbsp;reports quarterly results on Oct. 30.On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward Skyworks stock remained ‘bullish,’ although the reaction to the downgrade hasn’t been fully captured yet. (ASML) as a model for understanding the escalating trade war between the U.S. and China.&nbsp;According to a CNBC&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/15/cramer-this-european-company-is-key-to-understanding-us-china-trade-tensions.html">report</a>, Cramer advised investors seeking to understand trade tensions to consider the Dutch manufacturer of advanced lithography systems, which are essential for chip production.&nbsp;The company reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter (Q3) results, with&nbsp;revenue climbing 0.7% year-over-year (YoY) to&nbsp;€7.526 billion ($8.8 billion).&nbsp;However, the company also warned of a sharp decline in Chinese sales in 2026 due to tightening export restrictions. The U.S. has already imposed limits on advanced chip exports over national security concerns, and the Dutch government has introduced licensing requirements impacting ASML’s ability to sell its most sophisticated extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines to China, the report stated.&nbsp;ASML stock traded over 1% higher on Wednesday afternoon. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock jumped to ‘bullish’ from ‘bearish’ territory the previous day.
